Saturday December 5th volunteers from many organizations will be canvassing our area picking up donations for the 2009 Walk and Knock.
All canned food or money donations go directly to and support our local Helping Hands. Currently there are 70 to 100 families, or approximately 200 citizens that seek assistance each week.
There is no time like now to donate and help out. Look for your Walk and Knock bag in the Daily News. If you do not receive the paper, contact Darryl Thomas @ 673-1876 to receive your bag or make a donation. If you do not have the time to pick up a bag, set out your canned food, place it in a box, or leave money marked for the Walk and Knock in an envelope, any and all donations help.
If you would like to further your donation and donate time, volunteers are needed and welcome to assist in the event. If interested in helping, contact Darryl Thomas @ 673-1876, or be at the Kalama Helping Hands, 191 Cloverdale Road, Kalama, WA no later than 09:00 am on Saturday the 5th of December.
