Annual Kalama Chamber Community Dinner
The date for the annual Chamber Community Dinner is set for Saturday March 23, 2013.
The theme this year is “Chasing the Sun“
A live auction, silent auction, raffles, awards and wonderful foods will all be included in this wonderful tropical evening. Nominate your Citizen of the Year or a business or organization for the Totem of the Year by filing our our form and mailing it to info@kalamachamber.com. Order tickets ahead of time by email or buy them at the Heritage Bank, TLC Deli or Kalama Kids Resale.

On Friday Nov 30 at 6:30pm Caroling & Tree Lightning at Toteff Park and Santa Express is on display at the REMAX building from 5 to 8pm.
On Saturday Dec 01 Santa Express is on display at the REMAX building all day and Santa will be visiting from 1:30 to 3:30 at REMAX. A great time for the kids with gifts & pictures.
On Sunday Dec 02 Santa Express is on display at the REMAX building all day. There will be a Swedish Pancake breakfast with lingonberry jam at the Kalama School Cafeteria from 8 to 11 am. At 1:30 Santa will be at REMAX again to visit with the kids and give gifts and take pictures.
The parade starts at 4:00 in downtown Kalama followed by the Annual Community Turkey Dinner at the Kalama School Cafeteria at 5:00 pm. Cost is only $6 per person. Santa will make his appearance again for more gifts and pictures.
On November 17 the Kalama PTO will hold its second Annual Breakfast and Bazaar, this time to include lunch as well. Start the Holiday season right and support our local schools. Click PTO Bazaar for more information.
June 23 will be the date for Kalama’s Spring Fishing Derby on the Columbia River, called Kalama Chamber of Commerce Bridge to Bridge Sturgeon Derby 2012. Open waters are Mainstem Columbia River from Buoy 10 to the I-5 bridge (Areas 519, 521, 523). Last weigh in in Kalama at 4:00pm with a Spaghetti Feed afterwards. First place team will win $1,000, Second place team $500, third place team $250 and biggest fish $125. More info and sign up at: KalamaChamberFishingDerby2012
In the summer Kalama will be home to the Kalama Fair with a Parade River to River Run/Walk/Bike, 4H, Kids Activities, Beer Garden, live music and much more. More information can be found at www.kalamafair.com.

The Car Show will take place August 19, with more entries every year. In 2011 more than 300 cars were showed in the downtown area of Kalama.
In the same weekend as the car show, an old but great event will be reintroduced into Kalama: the BLUES FESTIVAL. Gone for a few years to different surrounding cities, Kalama will host this festival once again on Saturday August 18.
Always a hit in Kalama is Halloween in Kalama, attracting people from both Kalama and surrounding areas for some save trick & treating in the downtown area decorated with scare crows. Streets are closed to all traffic except the dress-up kind.
